GSOD Criteria 2019
Grand Slam of Darts
PDC Criteria
A lot of debate over what the criteria should be for the GSOD as it seems the PDC give spots to event runners up which are not "Premier" & too many Pro Tour qualifiers
Here is my criteria for what it is worth, Qualification method via how "Premier" & Ranked the TV event is.
World Championship: Semi finalists qualify
GSOD: Semi finalists Qualify
World Matchplay: Finalists (If any of the finalists have qualified then the Semi final losers will take the place)
World Grand Prix: Same as World Matchplay
UK Open: Finalists only
European Championships: Finalists Only
Players Championship: Finalists Only
Premier League: Finalists Only
Masters: Finalists Only
Champions League of Darts: Finalists Only
World Series of Darts (Not ranked) Winner only
World Youth Championship: Winner only
No places to World Cup of Darts as this isn't ranked and is a doubles event
If 24 places have not been filled then it goes to Criteria 2
- All European Tour Winners
- Multiple Pro Tour Winners
- Qualification Tournaments (for the remaining places)
World Championship
Winner: Michael Van Gerwen
R/Up: Michael Smith
Semi: Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall
Grand Slam of Darts

Semi finalist: Chris Dobey
UK Open

3 Places for the Pro tour qualifier.
The BDO 8 for this year would be John O'Shea for Glen Durrant who has already qualified
