Twitter- Well it was fun while it lasted

As you may have been aware. I've been banned from Twitter for (Avoiding permanent suspension lol ). Still it was always going to happen considering this is my 3rd account, Twitter has been great there has been many people who I've met & plenty of people I would like to meet for a beer sometime after this bloody lockdown is over.

Of course to any of the people who want to keep in contact, I'm never far away. I'm on Facebook (under my real name), I've decided to write a few things on here (Will avoid politics). And I'm on some darts forums too under the same name, I will be active on YouTube groups as well for any darts like remote darts league from tonight.

The Oche Blog (1) - 14th October

 Welcome to the 1st edition of the Oche blog where every Friday i will give my opinions on Darts over the previous week.  PDC World Grand Prix Wasn't the greatest WGP, Lack of upsets were a problem. But there was plenty of intrigue with Michael Van Gerwen playing closer to his best and still looking the best player in the world, In the final he was in cruise control but one thing that Aspinall has is loads of bottler and is never beaten and he proved that, It was almost a fine comeback, Sadly, It wasn't to be. MVG winning 3 big titles this year proves that he is the man to beat at the Worlds in 2023. The others have work to do  World Youth It was around 1 year ago today that Andrew Sinclair on his weekly WDF Podcast mentioned the name Josh Rock. Although known in Irish circles this was a new talent. He impressed massively in the Irish Open and has had a wonderful 12 months. Winning Tour card, Qualifying for the Worlds and GSOD and he is likely to pick up the World Youth title,

The Lacklustre World Cup of Darts

So this week is another PDC TV event The World Cup of Darts and lets be honest its a bit of a let down. The whole aspect of the event should be doubles, 2 players from 32 countries are selected and this is what should be played all through the tournament.  The First round this was the case and it provided some excellent action, although a lack of genuine upsets its still was a good day's worth of play. But Saturday's action was a damp squib. The PDC in their wisdom decide from this round their are single matches before the doubles action, This devalues the event and makes its lacklustre. Play Doubles only all the way through till the final.  Its a busy time for Darts (Thank god really considering there not much each because of Lockdown) GSOD Qualifier & Winter Series next week which will be good, Jim Williams & Keane Barry will be making their pro tour debuts, Both are excellent talents and both could cause some damage over the 5 days.   I have a feeling there will be 8
