Ah.... Covid and the reactions to it

Covid has been a bane in peoples life's for the last 7 months, With a lot of people have varied degrees of experience from it. But its all seems to be insane with the reactions. 

Glen Durrant got tested positive on Thursday, And we all hope he is ok and back to health &  playing soon. Two twitter users questioned the fact that the PDC shouldn't be having people going across Europe to play in tournaments, Simply why do people thing this? Every player has their own right to travel and its their wishes which are respected. Its not easy for self employed people you know. 

Moreover, Durrant was pictured in a Weatherspoon's with cough mixture, It seems he felt that he didn't have covid and was well enough to travel (Stephen Bunting & Adrian Lewis didn't think they had it too) , Sure enough that wasn't the case and he is isolating and will miss the European Championships, This got a few peoples backs up (A forum admin who has an agenda against him) & people who lets face it want to isolate for the rest of their life from an illness they are likely to have had/get at some point. 

Was Durrant stupid for travelling.....Possibly. It could easily be a false positive & he just has a regular cough which people have had in all time, But its a man who really wants to make waves in the PDC and his ambition possibly ruled his head at the time. 

Covid has and will continue to be a problem for sporting events, The worry the PDC have is if people drop out before the World Championship, This is extended across other sports, Teams have withdrawn from cup competitions, Matches cancelled and players losing prize money. We have to work out a way to live with it & control it, its very easy for calling events to be cancelled without thinking of every problems that goes alongside it. 

I salute Hearn and the PDC for getting events back on and some with a crowd in Europe and there will be cases, its par for the course. The Virus is going to Virus
